 Importance of Savings  "Save it for later", is what we do when something is precious or expensive.  This is exactly we need to do with our money. It has a magical effect. Someday we are in need of just that extra Rs. 1000/- and guess what!  we can't find it hidden in any of our secret pots as we might have used it for some other urgent work. What if you would have kept that Rs.1000/- in your savings account in a bank, instead of some pot or pocket at home.  Not only would that Rs.1000/- add to your savings but would also earn an interest of 4% p.a (appx. as per prevailing bank savings interest rates.) I made my domestic help save her monthly wages to her savings account in a bank of her choice.  Guess what!
